Ashfaq Munshi

Founder & CEO, Terabitz

Ashfaq Munshi is the founder and CEO of Terabitz. Prior to that, Ashfaq was CEO of Level5 Networks. He brings a unique mix of 20 years ofentrepreneurship, engineering, marketing, and management experience tohis new company. Ashfaq has founded four other Silicon Valleycompanies: Radiance, Vivecon, SpecialtyMD (acquired by Ventro), andCommerce Engine (became Ariba). Earlier in his career, he served as acorporate vice president at Applied Materials, where he wasresponsible for software and automation. Prior to Applied Materials,Ashfaq was vice president and general manager of the EnterpriseBusiness Unit at SGI. He began his executive career at OracleCorporation where he was director of development and marketing.Ashfaq currently serves on the board of MSC Software Corporation, apublicly-traded company (Nasdaq: MSCS) and is a member of the auditcommittee and chairperson of the Compensation Committee. He alsoserves as an advisor to Transitive Corporation and is on the Dean'sLeadership Council for the Division of Engineering and AppliedSciences at Harvard University.Ashfaq holds an A.B. in Mathematics from Harvard, has completedgraduate work in computer science at Brown and the University ofCalifornia, Santa Cruz and is an alumnus of the Stanford GraduateSchool of Business.
