Co-Founder, Sawbuck Realty

Guy Wolcott is the co-founder of Sawbuck Realty, an online real estate broker based in Washington, DC. Sawbuck’s unique consumer-focused model combines the best of Real Estate 2.0 – powerful online tools, freedom of information and substantial savings – with the indispensible part of “traditional” real estate – top local buyer’s agents. In just four months, Sawbuck has become one of the leading real estate search sites in its home market of Washington, DC, and will be expanding to other cities over the 2nd half of 2008.

In 1991, Mr. Wolcott co-founded consumer software company AbleSoft, selling to Microleague Multimedia in 1995. As a Senior Producer at Magnet Interactive, he produced Web sites for the largest FTD reseller, PC Flowers (www.pcflowers.com), Automatic Data Processing (www.adp.com) and American Greetings (www.americangreetings.com). In 1996, Mr. Wolcott founded Internet developer Rocketworks, who created consumer-oriented sites and technology for clients like Microsoft, Ford Motor Company, Capital One and Black Entertainment Television, plus several well-received startups from the original “dot com” era. In 2001 Rocketworks was acquired by Veris Consulting, where Mr. Wolcott went on to serve as Managing Director. Since 2004, he has been intimately involved in residential real estate as co-owner of mortgage company Flex Funding and an active real estate investor around Washington, DC.
