Ditch the computer for the classroom

Re: 'Continuing education: Is it relevant?' (Feb. 4)

Dear Editor:

You will be surprised to learn that the requirement for Continuing Education is not all about you. It's not all about getting people to sign contracts so that you can make more money faster. It is about broadening your knowledge base to enable you to do a better job for you clients and customers.

In most states, there is a wide variety of courses offered by different providers on a vast number of different topics. Get out of your office! Get away from your computer! Do a little research and actually attend courses that will be both enjoyable and beneficial.

Get away and interact with others in an actual classroom setting. You'll discover that there are both instructors and other real estate people with vast amounts of knowledge and experience that you can tap to benefit you and your clients. Remember, it's not all about you!

Re: 'Agents: Stop dripping and start predicting' (Feb. 8)

Dear Editor:

We're at an inflection point ... those who get it will thrive; those who don't will fade. I already use some of these tools; I plan on implementing some of the others this weekend!

Thanks for the gentle nudge towards better service.
